History

During the 1930s, when the history of the Company as the main industrial development means in the country started, the major task to be performed by the Trust was to erect national coke and by-product processing plants. At that time, the construction of coke oven batteries, coking by-product recovery plants, coke dry-quenching plants etc. started. War and postwar years as well as economic instability did not stop the construction; the years of ordeals has only strengthen the spirit of Koksokhimmontazh's staff members. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, due to fall off of investments in development of the native industry, JSC "Koksokhimmontazh" had to search for workload for its divisions by mastering of new types of work for the Company which were in demand on the market at that time of crisis. One of such work types was tank building, at that, main orders to construct tanks and by-product coke industry facilities in early 1990s were from foreign countries (Argentina, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Suriname, Estonia, Lithuania, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Hungary etc.).
