JSC "Trust Koksokhimmontazh" - unique competencies allowed us to successfully implement a complex technical solution

On the construction of a new coke battery at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Combine (CherMK, PJSC Severstal) the general contractor of JSC "Trust Koksokhimmontazh" carried out a technologically complex operation – the movement of the greenhouse through the coal tower along the tracks of the double-removable machine of the coke side and the machine side of the ramming and loading ejector machine.

Similar operations "Koksokhimmontazh" carried out repeatedly in the USSR. In modern Russia, such operations have not been carried out.
JSC Trust Koksokhimmontazh developed a project in which all possible risks were taken into account, calculations were made for the stability of the structure during movement, mechanisms and necessary equipment were selected.
The difficulty in moving was the passage of the greenhouse through the supporting part of the coal tower on the intermediate site of the coke battery, which did not allow the entire structure to pass without disassembling its roof part (trusses). To do this, it was necessary to dismantle the farms of the greenhouse, the service platforms, the ways of hoists, the roof sandwich panels, and after moving the columns of the greenhouse behind the coal tower, they were mounted back, thereby ensuring the rigidity of the structure.
Six hydraulic pushers, pumping stations and grippers to them were used to move the greenhouse. At the same time, six operators started the hydraulic cylinders into operation. In one pass (without rearranging the grips), the greenhouse slid by 600 mm. The work was carried out around the clock in 2 shifts. The total travel distance was 120 meters. The dimensions of the greenhouse are 30 meters wide, 100 meters long and 27 meters high, with a total weight of 1100 tons.
The advantage of moving over the classic dismantling \ installation was the reduction of the time of work from 3 months to 3 weeks.
Sergey Fufaev, General Director of Trust Koksokhimmontazh JSC, noted that "the unique installation technologies used in Russia allow leading Russian companies not only to increase the efficiency of work performed, but also to form advanced trends in their industries, as well as to compete with foreign builders."
At the moment, the battery has been switched to constant heating at a temperature of 980 degrees. This mode will be maintained until the completion of construction and installation work.
"We are rapidly approaching the launch of a strategically important facility for our company, a unit that is unique not only for CherMK, but also for the entire metallurgy industry, despite the difficult market situation," notes Evgeny Vinogradov, General Director of the Severstal Russian Steel Division and Resource Assets.
