Booster compressor station УКПГ2 launching at the North Urengoy field eastern dome
JSC TrustKoksokhimmontazh has finished construction of the facility “Booster compressor station УКПГ2 of the North Urengoy field eastern dome”, and after that Nortgaz CJSC successfully put it into operation. The unit is intended for Valanginian sediments gas compression of the North Urengoy license block. The compressors’ compression ratio permits to operate the booster compressor station at gas overburden stress reduction to 1,0 MPa without additional expenditures for the equipment upgrading. The unitaggregate capacity is 48 MW.
The unit primary purpose is increasing recovery rate from gas and gas-condensate accumulations where overburden stress had been reduced and was limiting well yields, so it was extremely important for JSC TrustKoksokhimmontazh to finish the works in time.
Up to 900 people had been engaged for the project implementation. During the construction period JSC TrustKoksokhimmontazh has produced at its factories and installed under the Extreme North conditions 4150 tons of steel structures, has laid 2139 tons of pipelines and more than 160 km of power supply cable lines. The scope of concrete works constituted 1100 m3.
The complicated construction conditions and compressed timeframe encouraged close cooperation with the units of the Customer - Nortgaz CJSC. Such well-coordinated work made it possible to launch the facility in due time.
