Koksokhimmontazh-Volga: a new direction of protection of metal structures

 At the Koksokhimmontazh-Volga plant, a new direction has been mastered for strengthening metal products by hot application to the cleaned surface of aluminum, zinc or copper, in addition to previously used fire protection and protection of metal structures from low temperatures.

 This method (alitizing) is used to protect parts from oxidation at normal and elevated temperatures up to +900 ° C, resistance to atmospheric corrosion and chemical influences. For this purpose, modern electric arc spraying equipment was purchased at the AKZ workshop, and specialists underwent appropriate professional development and certification.

 "The implementation of this event expands the company's opportunities for import substitution of high-tech equipment and opens up new directions for the metalwork markets," said Alexey Karpov, Deputy General Director for Production of KHM-Volga.
