Coke was obtained at the second unit coke battery No. 11 in Cherepovets

The first coke was obtained from the second block of coke battery No. 11 with the technology of ramming coal charge at the Cherepovets Metallurgical Combine (PJSC Severstal). Fifty-six new furnaces will significantly increase coke production.

A lot of work is nearing completion on the construction of Russia's first coke oven battery with preliminary ramming of coal charge, which experts call "clean" because of its increased environmental friendliness.

Sergey Fufaev, General Director of Trest Koksokhimontazh: "This project is a symbiosis of successful interaction between the customer of PJSC Severstal, a recognized leader in the world metallurgy, and the general contractor Trest Koksokhimontazh.
Trust Koksokhimmontazh is a domestic company that has a full unique competence in the construction of coke chemical plants. It is gratifying that at present the construction of coke chemical plants is in demand again. Koksokhimmontazh has been on the market for the construction of coke chemical plants for more than 90 years and has all the necessary competencies in this area, allowing to implement projects of varying complexity."

A ramming and loading ejector machine is used on the coke battery, which allows the coal charge to be rammed into the form necessary for front loading into the coking chamber.
A number of modern technical developments have been introduced during construction. Sopreco system – allows you to individually adjust the pressure in each chamber, based on the conditions of the technological process. It also contributes to compliance with control and reduction of environmental emissions through the use of aspiration systems at each technological stage of the entire cycle and smokeless loading of coal cake into the chamber.
Thus, the new coke battery No. 11 corresponds to the level of the cleanest metallurgical enterprises in the world.
