The First Stage of the Gas Condensate Fractionation and Transshipment Complex At the Port of Ust'-Luga On the Baltic Sea Has Been Put Into Operation
JSC "Trust Koksokhimmontazh" has completed construction and assembly of the First Stage of the Complex which includes a Stable Gas Condensate (SGC) Fractionation Plant with the capacity of 3 mmtper year, 520 thousand cubic meters of storage facilities for feedstock and products, a deep-water berth equipped with loading arms capable of loading tankers up to 120 thousand tons deadweight, administrative buildings and living quarters, engineering systems and networks, and sewage treatment facilities.
Presently, the Second Stage of the Complex is being constructed, including one more SGC Fractionation Plant with the design capacity of 3 mmt per year. The Second Stage is scheduled to be completed in the forth quarter of 2013.
Leonid Mikhelson, the Chairman of the Management Board of OAO NOVATEK, participated in a solemn event devoted to start-up of the facility where he said, 'We have successfully completed the First Stage of one of our main strategic projects...'
The Complex in Ust'-Luga allows to process stable gas condensate into petroleum products like light and heavy naphtha, jet fuel, diesel oil fraction and heating oil, and enables to ship the petroleum products to international markets. The Complex also allows for export shipment of stable gas condensate.
The state-of-the-art equipment has been installed at the Complex ensuring maximum automation of processing, as well as providing the highest level of industrial and environmental safety. Another unique feature of the Complex is its location on an artificially in-filled land, which required the most compact layout of production facilities.
