From the student's bench - to large industrial buildings
An open day for senior students of Izhevsk State Technical University was held at the Izhevsk enterprise "Uralmetallurgmontazh". Future specialists were given a tour of the production shop, told about the advantages of industrial professions and the prospects for practical training and employment at Uralmetallurgmontazh.
After such events, it is easier for us to attract young people to the jobs of KHM-Arctic and TSM," says Sergey Stashkov, General Director of KHM-Arctic.
After all, we are solving the task of popularizing the profession of a builder, because after returning home, students will share their impressions about the work of builders and production workers with their relatives and friends. So that the specialists so necessary for our industrial construction do not go into trade, into the service sector, but go into production. Our main goal is to add young minds, savvy with modern innovations, to strong experienced hands.
During the open day, Evgeny Kalachev, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the author of the exhibition "Industrial Landscape of Russia and People of Labor", held a creative master class on industrial drawing for students.
According to the former rector of IzhSTU, and now professor of the Department of Industrial and Civil Engineering, Valery Pavlovich Grakhov, the trip to the enterprise turned out to be special. "The artist contributed his fragrance to the students' visits. I was even surprised that the students became interested and they began to draw. Many thanks to the coke chemical installation."
Having already had a successful 10-year experience of joint activity, IzhSTU and Uralmetallurgmontazh signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of education development in June 2021. Thanks to the agreement between the university and the enterprise, students of Izhevsk State Technical University will be able to practice at Uralmetallurgmontazh, as well as conduct joint educational and scientific work with the support of the enterprise.
