Construction of 1500 t/day capacity granulated urea production unit
Construction of 1500 t/day capacity granulated urea production unit in the city of Cherepovets of Vologda region in 2017 became a significant event for Trust Koksokhimmontazh.
Thanks to an adequate management policy, close cooperation with the Customer – FosAgro Group, engagement of daughter and partner companies of Trust Koksokhimmontazh Holding and workers and ETP increase from 800 to 1200 persons, the works on pipelines installation planned for execution within 12 months under the directive plan were successfully implemented during 6 months.
Trust Koksokhimmontazh as the general contractor has managed to fulfill an entire complex of preparation and construction installation works required for the unit construction in the operating enterprise environment for two years. Totally over 30 km of pipelines were installed, 128158 inch-diameters were welded, 272 equipment units of 2500 tons were manufactured and 6800 tons of steel structures were mounted, 3,7 km of underground networks and 360 km of cable products were laid, 1940 m3 of brick masonry were executed, 16 000 m2 of sandwich panels were installed, over 200 000 m2 of steel structures and pipelines were painted. In the peak of construction period there were engaged about 15 cranes of heavy load capacity from 40 to 750 tons.
This is the first new granulated urea production unit for the last 15 years in Russia which was constructed by up-to-date license technologies using modern equipment and which enables to achieve high rates of labour productivity, industrial and environmental safety. The unit provides one of the best technical-economic indicators of urea production due to the optimum equipment configuration, new design of apparatus and application of the materials extending the units operation time.
Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the customer – Apatit JSC (FosAgro Group) and the general contractor – Trust Koksokhimmontazh the project has been implemented in time with a high quality of work execution.
