The Tazovskoye oil and gas condensate field has been put into operation
Gazprom Neft has commissioned the Tazovskoye oil and gas condensate field with geological reserves of 419 million tons of oil and 225 billion cubic meters of gas.
The ceremony was held in an online format, it was attended by the head of Gazprom Neft Alexander Dyukov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, as well as the Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov and the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District Dmitry Artyukhov.
According to Alexander Dyukov: "the launch of Tazovsky opens a new page in the history of oil and gas production in the Arctic. This large-scale project, in which we are investing over 150 billion rubles until 2030, will become the core of a new Gazprom Neft production center in the Arctic with a geological potential of over 1 billion tons of oil."
The general contractor for the construction of the facility "Tazovsky acceptance point with a capacity of 2 million tons/year" was "Trust Koksokhimmontazh".
As noted by Sergey Fufaev, General Director of Trust Koksokhimmontazh, in 24 months, in the difficult conditions of the pandemic and the northern territories, an oil tank farm with a total volume of 10,000 m3 was built; a pumping station for external oil transport and intra-park pumping; a system for measuring the quantity and quality of oil with a calibration unit; a connection node to the main oil pipeline, including a linear part and other infrastructure facilities.
Taking into account the inaccessibility and remoteness of the construction site, all design solutions for construction assumed the use of a block-modular strategy, allowing for installation from enlarged blocks, which include all the necessary engineering support: heating, ventilation, electric lighting, communication and alarm, if necessary, places for connecting external electrical appliances, warning equipment.
For a comfortable stay of employees at the deposit, JSC Trust Koksokhimmontazh organized a residential complex, including a dormitory, a licensed medical center, a bath and laundry complex, a gym, a classroom, a dining room and a headquarters.
"Creating comfortable working and leisure conditions for employees in the Far North is a priority and principle of the company. Even in a difficult epidemiological situation, we adhere to an active social policy in terms of providing additional safety conditions for our employees at the facility, which allowed us to prevent losses in the pace of construction," said Sergey Fufaev, General Director of Trust Koksokhimmontazh.
