Trust Koksokhimmontazh participates in the modernization of the complex for the production of mineral fertilizers

In Volkhov, the first stage of modernization of the production of mineral fertilizers, sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid has been completed for the leader of the Russian chemical industry PhosAgro.
The bulk of the work on the first stage was carried out for two years. Trust Koksokhimmontazh, specializing in large and technologically complex industrial construction facilities for the oil, gas, chemical industries and metallurgy, is one of the strategic partners of the PhosAgro Group. The roots of this cooperation go back to the Soviet past.
As part of the technical re-equipment of the production of mineral fertilizers in the Volkhov branch of JSC Apatit, Trust Koksokhimmontazh performed a whole complex of complex works. Three new storage tanks with a total volume of 12 thousand tons and a railway overpass for the discharge and filling of sulfuric acid were built in the sulfuric acid production shop. A finished product transshipment gallery has also been constructed for transshipment of fertilizers between the production of mineral fertilizers and the finished product warehouse. A department for the production of extraction phosphoric acid with a capacity of 450 thousand tons of P2O5 per year has been launched. The apatite concentrate delivery unit has been prepared for operation. One of the main difficulties was that all the work was carried out in the cramped conditions of the existing production.
Sergey Fufaev, General Director of Trust Koksokhimmontazh, noted that this investment project is being implemented in the shortest possible time using the most modern technologies. "The contract includes a set of measures from the manufacture, installation of metal structures; installation of the most complex technological equipment; entrance control; construction, installation and commissioning to commissioning of the facility."
Work on the first stage of modernization of the complex ended with the launch of the production of ammophos with a capacity of 300 thousand tons per year. The total estimated investment volume for the project is more than 28 billion rubles.

As a result, a new production complex will be built on the site of the plant, built in 1932, with facilities created on the basis of the best available technologies and allowing to produce 880 thousand tons of ammophos per year. In Volkhov, about 300 jobs for highly qualified specialists will be created at the new production facilities.
