The second unit of the innovative coke oven battery No. 11 has been switched to permanent heating

 In Cherepovets, the second unit of coke oven battery No. 11 at the Severstal PJSC facility has been switched to permanent regenerative heating.

 This is a key stage of the project implementation, which precedes the stage of hot commissioning. The process will be maintained throughout the entire battery life cycle.

 To move to this stage, Trust Koksokhimmontazh performed a complex of works on the installation of gas supply equipment, mounted and adjusted the gas/air/smoke tilting mechanisms. This is an automatic system that controls the temperature of the battery.

 Now the temperature inside the battery is 940 degrees, later it will be brought up to 1150 degrees. This is a sufficient temperature for the first loading of the coal charge and the start of complex commissioning.
